Because you still believe in the power of 2, Aspen Psychology
offers tailored couples counselling to Calgarians, guiding
relationships back to harmony and deep connection.
Your Relationship Renewal Can
Start Now
Relationships, like nature, have ebbs and flows like seasons. There are times of growth and times of dormancy. But when the dormant seasons become longer and colder you can lose hope of growth returning.
At Aspen Psychology in Calgary, our couples therapists can help breathe life back into your relationship ensuring both partners feel heard, valued, and deeply connected.
Marriage counselling or relationship therapy for any type of relationship doesn't need to be scary. We work hard to provide an inclusive environment where people can heal and move forward.
A Journey From Drifting Apart to Being One
Our metaphor of the Aspen tree sharing their root systems is our vision for your relationship. This shared foundation helps both nurture your relationship and give strength to you as an individual. You may have been feeling like your conversations lack depth and those moments of intimacy feel like distant memories, but our team is here to help you reconnect, share resources with one another, and rebuild your foundation.
Aspen Offers Couples:
Deepened Connection for Couples
When you are stuck in communication patterns that leave you feeling disconnected, when events have led to trust issues, or when the overall spark of your connection dims, our psychologists can guide you back to the warmth, understanding, and vibrancy of your early days.
Together, you’ll combat challenges like relationship stagnancy, communication barriers, and reigniting passion, rebuilding your bond one day at a time. Our counselling services are designed to not only help you in your relationship struggles but forge a path to a better you.
Step Towards Reconnection
Intimacy & Trust Building
We appreciate the many reasons why it may have felt protective to build a wall around you to safeguard against the hurt. We understand how helpless you may feel when you reach for your partner and aren’t able to connect. Aspen’s psychologists work collaboratively with you to take you from despair to hope. We can guide you through the vulnerable process of rebuilding intimacy and trust.
Restore Trust & Intimacy
Communication Mastery
We all long to be heard and understood while often neglecting our listening and understanding skills. Our therapists help couples develop new communication strategies that ensure we are effectively identifying and conveying our needs, as well honing our listening and understanding skills, and being receptive to influence from our partner..
We can help you be both a better speaker and listener, increase your understanding of one another, and your comfort with emotions. All these ways of being lead to increased intimacy.
Master the Art of Communication
Conflict Resolution
It’s true that every relationship experiences conflict, but for those couples who have developed a process on how to navigate it, it doesn’t leave them feeling stuck and defeated. We can help you develop tools and techniques to transform arguments into productive conversations and opportunities for growth
